There are many styles of yoga and it's important to find one that works for you. They vary in pace and intensity, as well as the overall aim and feel of the class.
You will also find that the same style will vary between teachers, therefore finding the right teacher is equally as important as the style. Below you will find the different styles that I love teaching. If you have any further questions, get in touch. I'd love to help you find the class that's right for you.
In Hatha Yoga we focus on asana practice and pranayama. It is slower in pace and poses are held for several breaths, helping
bring peace to the mind and body.
In a Vinyasa yoga class you will find yourself doing more poses that are held for a shorter amount of breaths. We will be moving in a "flow" like motion from pose to pose.
Yin Yoga is a practice where we hold each pose between 2 and 7 minutes (can be longer for more advanced yogis). We come into each pose with the breath and remain still going deeper into the connective tissues including fascia, bones, and joints.
Kaula Tantra Yoga is a deep meditation in motion where the body, mind and soul flow together. The focus is on relaxing into postures, and giving your nervous system time to integrate through long holds, repeated savasanas and breath retention.
Yoga Nidra or yogic sleep is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the "going-to-sleep" stage, typically induced by a guided meditation. There is evidence that yoga nidra helps relieve stress.
Private or small group classes can be taught in person or online. If you feel called to having some individual attention or have a particular need in mind, get in touch and we'll make magic.
