Feel Safe, Confident, and Ready for a Life-Changing Journey with the Dolphins

When I think about our dolphin and yoga retreats, I can’t imagine a single reason why someone wouldn’t want to come. It’s a literal paradise on earth that makes you feel like you’ve died and gone to heaven. But I know that as beautiful souls inside human bodies, our minds have their own hang-ups, worries, and a need to control. So, I wanted to take a moment to address 7 of the most common concerns I hear before someone takes the leap into this transformative experience.

1) “What if I get sea sick?”
Around 80% of the general population is susceptible to motion sickness, so if this is something you worry about, you’re definitely not alone! However, in Sataya, it’s a different story. Sataya is a protected coral reef area, which means minimal wave activity. The waters are typically calm and stable, kind of like being on a very gentle river. The boat has minimal movement, so in most cases, it's not enough to make you feel sick. And if you’re still a bit concerned, there are plenty of remedies—medication, wristbands, or even natural options like ginger. So, if sea sickness is holding you back from your dream of swimming with wild dolphins, don’t worry—you’re in safe hands!

2) “I’m not a strong swimmer.”

No problem! You can still swim with the dolphins even if you’re not a strong swimmer. We take great care to ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable in the water. If you’re feeling unsure, we can provide a swimming ring for extra security. Plus, the Red Sea’s high salinity makes it easier to float, so you’ll find staying above water with minimal effort is much easier than you might think. I’ve seen it countless times—people who were nervous at first leave with newfound confidence, swimming unaided by the end of the retreat. You’ve got this!

3) “I’m not a yogi, and I’ve never tried yoga before.”
That’s completely okay! My yoga sessions are designed to be gentle and accessible to everyone, no matter your experience level. Beginners are always welcome, and I ensure that all practices are inclusive and adaptable. I’ll guide you step-by-step through each session, allowing you to learn at your own pace and in a way that feels comfortable for you.

4) “I’ve never been on a yoga retreat before.”
It’s natural to feel a little nervous about trying something new, but there’s no need to worry about being “ready.” Every retreat I host is designed to be welcoming and supportive, especially for first-timers. I totally understand that stepping into something unknown can feel daunting, but you won’t be alone—I promise, you won’t be the only “newbie” there! We’re all in this together, and I’ll be there to support you every step of the way. :)

5) “Being on a boat with strangers for a week sounds a little scary.”
I get it—being in close quarters with people you don’t know can feel intimidating. But whether you’re looking for connection or some “me time,” the boat has plenty of space for both. It has four levels, so there’s always room to retreat and enjoy some solitude if you need it. Participation in activities is totally optional, so if you feel the need to take a break or just go for a swim instead, that’s perfectly fine. The retreat is all about honoring your own pace and needs.

6)  "I’m scared of sharks."
I get it—sharks are often on our minds when we think about being in the ocean, thanks to the news and JAWS. But here’s the thing: the areas where we swim with dolphins are incredibly safe. Sharks tend to live deeper in the ocean, away from the protected coral reefs where we go. Plus, dolphins are naturally protective creatures, and they often stay in areas far from where sharks would be.

The waters in Sataya are calm, clear, and warm—perfect for the gentle, peaceful interaction we have with the dolphins. It’s a truly safe and serene environment for both humans and marine life. So if you’re nervous about sharks, know that the only “danger” here is falling in love with the dolphins—and the tranquility of this paradise!

7) “It’s a lot of money to spend on myself.”

I hear you, and I totally understand how easy it is to feel like your money should go toward more practical things, or towards others. But here’s a question for you: When was the last time you truly invested in your own well-being, growth, or happiness? This retreat isn’t just another trip—it’s an opportunity to reconnect with yourself, reset your body and mind, and experience true freedom. The peace, joy, and confidence you’ll gain from this retreat will far outweigh the cost. In fact, the benefits you receive from the yoga, the dolphins, and the nature will stay with you long after the retreat ends.

And remember, when you take care of yourself, you can give more to others. Your well-being is the foundation for everything else in your life, and investing in yourself is the best gift you can give. If you’re feeling unsure about the financial side, I’m here to help with payment plans or any other support you might need.

I hope addressing some of these concerns helps ease your mind. This is truly an experience you won’t regret, and I would love to have you join us in paradise. If you have any more questions or thoughts, please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m here for you.

Sending you love and calm waves of peace,

Maja
